We analyzed the ecological efficiency of NRF in our region using such indicators as the number of protected areas and reserve coefficient, density of NRA, the percentage of strictly protected areas, stability coefficient of NRF, landscape representation, category structure of reserved area in terms of administrative units, river basins, landscape areas have been investigated. The use of administrative, basin and landscape approaches allowed us to obtain the most objective result of the analysis of NRA territorial differentiation within the studied region. The analyzed parameters and spatial distribution of NRA have been cartographically reflected by means of GIS technology that give us the opportunity to enhance the use of the results of this study in solving scientific and applied problems. To identify the economic efficiency of the NRF, we propose AIN-analysis (Act Infrastructure Nature), which is to determine the possibilities of using NRA as a recreational area. Quantitative and qualitative indicators analyzed within a radius of 10 km of NRA have been transferred to the corresponding number of points according to a particular algorithm. Integral index which is the sum of points have been calculated for each natural reserve.
